Memoir

Amanat Solanki, also known as Jaber among close family & friends was born on 21st October 1992, spent most of his life in Qatar being his first home. With his primary & higher education as well in Qatar, his journey & dreams has taken shape from the country he loves the most.
Currently a social entrepreneur, he has started his role in the family business at the age of 19 in 2011 as a business executive in Solanki Trading & Cont., he has walked on the path of his father, Abdul Basid Solanki who is a businessman since a very early age. His father with no formal education had worked extremely hard since the age of 13 with different seasonal businesses & ventures until he started his first contracting company in around 1989. Amanat has taken slightly different approach in business with the interest of diversifying & promoting social progress.

At an early age of 14, Amanat Solanki started a youth organization for social responsibility called Mission20; A humble beginning with a group of young students having a common vision bringing goodness to the communities. This vision continues to grow, inspired and initially guided by his mentor Shakil Sir (former Biology teacher, Coordinator of Qatar Scouts for expatriate Schools and Founder Chairman of the Kainat Foundation), who made a huge impact on his life and owes his likings and loves toward humanitarian works. During that age, he didn’t have an idea on how much impact he could make. One thing that he knows from his mind and heart, he should do something for humanity.

It was the exposure that he had through Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) and College of the North Atlantic, Qatar (CNA-Q) that made him grow as person and was able to know more about his duty towards humanity, he was given an opportunity to travel in different countries; Bangladesh, Tunisia and Indonesia. He engaged himself in teaching and community projects which gave him a real insight of people’s suffering and the urgent need to fulfill his mission in reaching out and supporting them.
